EmpowerFit was born from a simple but powerful belief: women deserve a fitness space that truly understands them. Not a generic gym. Not a program designed for men. A place built specifically for the female body — through pregnancy, postpartum, menopause, and every stage of life.
Our #1 goal is to change the narrative of women saying "I wish someone would have told me..." — and put the power back in your hands to fulfill your ultimate health and fitness goals.
Located in Sherwood Park, AB, our female-only, child-friendly studio provides a space where you can feel confident, motivated, and supported — no matter where you're starting from.

The Team
Christy is a mom of two, a wife, and a lover of lake life and a good Kindle read — and she is the heart and vision behind EmpowerFit.
After the birth of her daughter, Christy recognized a profound gap in the care available to women. She made the bold decision to walk away from a six-figure career in Oil & Gas and return to her roots in personal training. What began as a passion for supporting others through fitness quickly grew into an obsession with pelvic health and changing the narrative around pregnancy and postpartum care.
Now navigating her own menopause journey, Christy is expanding the care EmpowerFit provides to women at every age and stage of life — because she believes no woman should ever feel unsupported in her body. She can't wait to meet you in your first consultation, and in person under the chandeliers.
Kendra is a graduate of the NAIT Personal Fitness Trainer program, a lover of dance, a wife, and a proud dog mom — and she brings all of that warmth and energy into the gym every single day.
As a Pre and Postnatal Certified coach, Kendra has a special passion for teaching moms how to stay athletic and strong during and after pregnancy. Her empathetic, caring spirit is felt by every member and client she works with, and it's what makes her such a trusted presence at EmpowerFit.
Kendra serves as the accountability coach for our transformation program and is a huge reason for its continued success — because when Kendra is in your corner, you show up.
Carrie is a mom of three and a certified athletic therapist and personal trainer with a deep devotion to supporting women through pregnancy, labour and delivery, postpartum, and beyond. She believes pregnancy and motherhood is a sport — one that places constant physical demands on the body — and her mission is to help women feel strong, confident, and free in how they move, run, play, and laugh.
After her own experience with prolapse following her second delivery, Carrie discovered hypopressives — and it changed everything. Now a Level 2 Hypopressives instructor, she is passionate about helping as many women as possible restore their pelvic floor and core, one breath and one movement at a time.
As a passionate runner herself, Carrie has a special place in her heart for helping women run with freedom — without fear, leaking, or limitation.
With over 20 years of experience as a physiotherapist, Keeley brings a wealth of knowledge, genuine curiosity, and a deeply personal understanding of what it means to navigate injury, recovery, and the desire to simply feel like yourself again.
Keeley has always been passionate about movement — from swimming, rowing, dance, and horseback riding to CrossFit and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Her own experience with injury-related setbacks has given her a uniquely empathetic perspective with her clients, and a firsthand appreciation for the patience and hard work it takes to get back to doing what you love.
Her approach combines targeted exercise prescription, hands-on manual therapy, and acupuncture to create efficient, individualized programs that get you back to health — and back to doing what matters to you.
Chantel is a strength coach on a mission to help women take up space — unapologetically, powerfully, and without holding back. Her coaching is dedicated, knowledgeable, and deeply intentional, and she has a special passion for coaching teen girls how to lift for all the right reasons: confidence, strength, and self-respect.
When she's not in the gym, you'll find Chantel hiking mountains and chasing her next adventure. Her energy is contagious — the kind you feel the moment she walks into the room — and it's exactly what makes every session with her feel electric.
Coach Leah has been coaching for 7 years, and her passion for supporting women comes from a deeply personal place — she knows firsthand what it means to be truly cared for after having a baby, and she shows up every day to give that same experience to her clients.
Leah is a Certified Pre & Postnatal Athleticism Coach, bringing specialized knowledge to support women through pregnancy and beyond — helping them stay strong, athletic, and confident at every stage.
Leah loves to lift heavy, blast loud music, and high-five her clients after every single session. Her authentic personality and smart, intentional coaching make her a fan favourite at EmpowerFit — the kind of coach who makes hard work feel like the best part of your week.
Sarah is a Kinesiology graduate from the University of Alberta and a high-level ringette referee — so she knows firsthand what it means to be both an athlete and a student of movement.
She is passionate about helping women stay active, perform well, and genuinely enjoy athletics — without sacrificing function or overall health. Sarah believes you shouldn't have to choose between pushing your limits and feeling good in your body, and she brings that philosophy to every client she works with at EmpowerFit.
Anne is the behind-the-scenes force that helps keep EmpowerFit running smoothly day to day. With a strong background in organization, communication, and operations, she supports both the team and members by ensuring every detail is thoughtfully handled.
A dedicated mom and fitness enthusiast, Anne loves spin, pilates, and barre, and recently began her journey into progressive strength training — inspired by the EmpowerFit community and the belief that every woman is capable of more than she thinks.
She plays a key role in coordinating memberships, events, and internal systems — helping create a seamless experience for every member who walks through the doors or connects online. Anne is passionate about building structure, supporting the team, and creating an environment where both coaches and members feel supported, informed, and taken care of.
